The WPAHOA is an Illinois Not-for-Profit Corporation with 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status. The WPAHOA is committed to bridging the socio economic gap by improving the quality of life of all who reside within the Washington Park Community.
The WPAHOA has successfully impacted our community by completely the Urban Agricultural Preservation for our community. This program for area students to hands on farming skills and provided a source of free fruits and vegetables for area residents. As a result of this successful project, we will be able to increase our Agricultural site as of spring 2010.
We have provided students/seniors in Washington Park area with educational and cultural tours.
We also had a very successful PROJECT-B, YOUTH
EXPO where over 300 teenagers and parents
